Instructions For Research and Industry Paper Submissions

Contributions should be between 3000-5000 words excluding references. Submission should be prepared using the templates provided below. All submissions should be submitted electronically in either .doc, docx, .tex, or .pdf format through the conference paper submission server. The official language of the conferece is English. For accepted contributions, additional formatting instructions for the camera ready copy will be provided. Papers accepted for the conference will be included in the conference proceedings, which are published by Springer. Authors of accepted papers will be therefore be required to sign a copyright transfer (as well as register for and attend the conference).

Instructions For Lighting Talks Submissions

Contributions should be 1000 words excluding references. Submission should be prepared using the templates provided below. All submissions should be submitted electronically in either .doc, docx, .tex, or .pdf format through the conference paper submission server. The official language of the conferece is English. For accepted contributions, additional formatting instructions for the presentation format will be provided. Accepted contributions will be included in the proceedings.

Proposals should be 600 words excluding references. Submission should be prepared using the templates provided below. All submissions should be submitted electronically in either .doc, docx, .tex, or .pdf format through the conference paper submission server. The official language of the conferece is English. Accepted contributions will follow the following outline.

Instructions For Panel, Tutorial and Workshop Proposals

Panel, Tutorial and Workshop proposals should be 1-2 pages (max) and formatted following the templates below. All submissions should be submitted electronically in either .doc, docx, .tex, or .pdf format through the conference paper submission server. Panel proposals accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, which are published by Springer.

Instructions for Doctoral Symposium paper

Papers submitted to the doctoral consortium should be between 3,000 and 4,000 words, not including references, and should be formatted using the same templates as the main conference that are available in the "Author's Kit" section. Each submission must include title, author name(s) and affiliation, abstract, list of keywords and a complete list of references. Papers will be subjected to a single-blind review (in which the authors don't know the reviewers, but the reviewers know the authors).

Submissions should at least discuss the following elements: the background of the research, the motivation for the research, the research question(s) addressed in the study and a description of the proposed research method. Students in the later stages of their research are encouraged to include an overview of their completed research activities.

CAMERA READY

Papers accepted for the conference will be included in the conference proceedings, published by Springer. For the submission of the camera ready version of their paper, authors need to perform the following actions by the deadline of 7th June 2011:

Once all the material has been prepared, authors can send the package directly to oss2011conference AT gmail.com. The package must include a) the final pdf version of the edited paper, b) all the source materials (Latex files with styles, eps, bib, etc.., or Word doc/rtf files), c) the scan of the properly signed copyright form.

At least one author of each conference paper will be required to register for the conference and to present the paper during the conference. All participants of the conference will be required to register and to pay the registration fee.
